Saturday Interclub Rounds 3, 4 & 5

The Women’s Premier side won 5 from 9 in the weekend and lie in fourth place. They lie 3 points behind Onehunga but only 1 point behind Mangere and Blockhouse Bay. A good final two rounds could see them take second place.

The Men’s Premier side had a less than impressive day gaining only 1 win. This leaves them in second to last position and 5 points below their next closest opposition. With only two rounds remaining they will have to play well to avoid relegation.

The Women’s Division 1 side also lie deep in the relegation zone and while the Men’s Division 9 side lie in last place they are only 2 points behind four teams in second equal place.

Saturday Interclub R1 & 2

The Saturday Interclub competition for men and women got underway last Saturday. The Men’s Division 9 and the Women’s Division 1 teams played at home while the remaining teams were scatterred far and wide.

Men’s Premier Division is tight at the top with Blockhouse Bay 1 and Maddren Homes Hillboro Red on 10 points apiece. Southern Cross Cables Onehunga 1 and Pakuranga Red share 3rd spot on 6 points each.

In the Women`s Premier Division Blockhouse Bay Gold is holding top spot on 10 points with Pakuranga Gold and Southern Cross Cables Onehunga 1 are on 7 points.

Howick  has scooped two of the three top spots in Women’s Division 1 at the moment with Howick Blue on 10 points ahead of Carlton Cornwall Gold and Howick Maroon on 8 points. Pakuranga Blue lies with 2 points.

Men’s Division 3 is has Southern Cross Cables Onehunga  2 and Glendowie Eagles each with four wins on Saturday and then the next four teams all with three wins. Pakuranga Blue lies with 2 wins.  That division will remain wide open with all in with a good chance at the moment.

Men’s Division 9 is also an interesting result with Mt Albert Team Advantage ahead on 10 points and then the next four teams, icluding Pakuranga Green, on 6 points each. So with only four points separating all six teams it will be a battle to watch.
